Why We Must Win

Along with the terrorism alert in New York, there is another piece of news I think should be pasted on every news network and webpage. That is the communication that was intercepted between Ayman Zawahiri (OBLs deputy,) and Abu Musab Zarqawi:

The United States has obtained a letter from Osama bin Laden's deputy to the leader of Iraq's insurgency that outlines a long-term strategic vision for a global jihad, with the next phase of the war to be taken into Egypt, Syria and Lebanon, according to U.S. officials.
The plan? It consists of four main goals:
The letter of instructions and requests outlines a four-stage plan, according to officials: First, expel American forces from Iraq. Second, establish a caliphate over as much of Iraq as possible. Third, extend the jihad to neighboring countries, with specific reference to Egypt and the Levant -- a term that describes Syria and Lebanon. And finally, war against Israel.
For followers of news regarding the current Jihad, this is nothing new.

The encouraging thing is that the letter states Zawahiri asked Zarqawi for money.

Funny thing is how many on the left, including the pagan community, don't understand what is at stake here, or how distasteful life is for non-Muslims in a Muslim state.

As the above link testifies, dhimmitude is particularly harsh on polytheists.

I am compelled to write further about the motivations of Islamic Jihadists.

The main justification for the violence and jihadism comes from the ninth Sura, in which has become to be known as the "Verse of the Sword":
"Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful."

Couple this there is the doctrine of naskh (abrogation), which is the idea that Allah can change or cancel what He says. Basically means that what ever is written last is the current truth. Read the ninth sura, which most Islamic scholars agree is chronologically the latest. Now consider the Verse of the Sword.

This verse abrogates (supercedes or 'cancels out') no less than 124 more peaceful and tolerant verses before it. Muslim scholars agree on this, there is no debate.

Islam has 3 options for non-believers:

1) Conversion to Islam.
2) Subjugation under Islamic law, which involves paying jiyza (or tax), and basically becoming a second-class citizen. For more info read the link above.
3) Death.

Now if the violence in the Quran is scary, check out what's truly a cause for concern: the doctrines of taqiyya and kitman. Taqiyya is the doctrine basically states that it's ok to lie about your faith as long as you remain true to it in your heart. Kitman is the doctrine of mental reservation, which is telling the truth, but not the whole truth, in an effort to mislead. Both these doctrines have been used by modern Jihadists, allowing a Muslim leader to go public one day with the claim that he (and his religion) is for peace, and then later go to his mosque and preach violence against infidels (non-believers).
