Iran: A New Holocaust?

Iran is continuing its policy of saber-rattling":

"The establishment of the Zionist regime was a move by the world oppressor against the Islamic world," the president told a conference in Tehran entitled "The World without Zionism".

"As the Imam said, Israel must be wiped off the map," said Ahmadinejad, referring to a slogan which Iran's revolutionary leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini used before his death in 1989.

This comment has set off a firestorm of criticism in the international community, which if the status quo remains, will be all that comes of this.

Ahmadinejad stands by his comments however:
"They are free to talk but their words do not have any validity. It is natural that if a word is right and just it will provoke a reaction," Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying by the official news agency IRNA

There also was an anti-Israel demonstration in Tehran.

Should we ignore this?
